They came not only from Kaunas but also from Lithuania’s smaller towns, like Raseiniai, Betygala, Viduklė, Šlienava and Nemakščiai. In both events we had from 40 to 60 participants
During conferences all project results were presented: didactical and methodical material, also digital visual novels as well. In conference “DIGITAL GAMIFICATION IN LESSONS. THEORY AND PRACTICE” participants had the chance to adapt acquired theoretical knowledge from project’s presentation to practice in educational workshop dedicated for the project where they learned how they can teach students about financial literacy using gamification methods.
The feedback received during the conferences showed that the topics presented during the events are highly relevant and that such events motivate teachers, encourage the exchange of experiences with teachers from other schools and the discussion of current issues.

Place: Arbanasi, Bulgaria

Organiser: CuBuFo, Bulgaria

Agenda >>

CuBuFo presented the results of the Erasmus+ Digifinedu project. The event took place in Arbanasi park hotel in the district of Veliko Tarnovo and included teachers, headmasters and educators from 7 different towns in Bulgaria – Veliko Tarnovo, Sofia, Plovdiv, Vidin, Pavlikeni, Gorna Oryahovitsa and Polikraishte.
The event included a presentation of all the project results, but also practicing with a visual novel together.
Following the world-cafe concept, we organised a workshop session for participants to come up with ideas how they can integrate the financial literacy content in their classes and activities, as well as a game called “Anchoring”, which accompanied the presentations, providing insight into how trends, including financial ones, can get us “anchored” to certain values, appraisals or amounts, even if those fail to correspond to the reality of the moment. Very positive feedback from the participants.

Date: 14th December, 2023

Place: Quinta do Conde, Portugal

Organiser: CREF – Educational Research and Training Center, Portugal

Agenda >>

CREF trainers started by presenting what has been done along the project and explaining that Storytelling is a powerful tool for promoting financial literacy in schools. As educators, we can harness the magic of stories to make abstract concepts more relatable and engaging for students. Parents and teachers alike can take on the role of “money coaches.” Through storytelling, we simulate financial scenarios, encouraging critical thinking and decision-making. For example, a fictional character’s journey
through budgeting, saving, and investing can serve as a valuable teaching tool.
Then we divided participants in small groups and worked on the visual novels, so that teachers could better understand how to use this methodology in their classrooms. Participants could discuss with the
trainers about the project results and understand how actual and useful the visual novels are now. In fact, we all concluded about the importance of financial education in promoting financial literacy and preparing young people for a life in a society with a thriving economy free from financial constraints. Finally, it was very interesting to hear the opinion of the participants about the work carried out in this European project, which, in the general opinion, will value the work of teachers and students in the educational process in Portugal.
